The latest update for Black Desert Online on PC has introduced Edania, also referred to as the Demon Realm. This addition includes a new main questline, an expanded Adventure Log, and new gameplay systems. Characters at level 60 or higher can access the new storyline directly, as the developers removed the original requirement of completing the Atoraxxion quests to make the content more accessible. The Society of Equilibrium features prominently in this chapter, guiding adventurers through the newly added narrative.
A central feature of the update is Boss Subjugation, which allows players to face castle bosses through weekly quests. Successful completion of these encounters provides Edana Rising tokens, which are required to access the PvP arena known as the Throne of Edana. These tokens must be used within a limited time frame, encouraging players to be prepared before attempting these challenges. The encounters are situated in newly added monster zones, aligning them with the broader expansion of the region.
The Throne of Edana introduces a competitive PvP format where players fight for the weekly title of Edana. Participation is determined through victories in the arena, with the strongest contender each week gaining temporary control of the domain. However, the title must be defended in subsequent weeks against new challengers. The developers have also confirmed that the second part of the update will be released on September 11, bringing further adjustments and content additions.
