A Plus Japan, Shanghai Bokura Technology, and Tencent have jointly announced a closed beta test for Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. This upcoming testing phase will allow selected participants to experience the revised version of the MMORPG ahead of its full launch, which is expected later in 2025. Sign-ups for the beta will open on July 24, 2025, with more specific details about the schedule and test regions to be shared on the same day.
Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is a reworked iteration of the original Blue Protocol MMORPG developed by Bandai Namco. The game will feature a variety of playable classes such as Frost Mage, Heavy Guardian, Marksman, Shield Knight, Stormblade, Verdant Oracle, and Wind Knight. A newly released trailer highlights the structure of the closed beta and introduces players to the available classes and some of the in-game environments.
The game is set in a world called Regnus, where players will be able to explore locations including the Asterleeds Region, Carniman, The Lost Andra, and Misthoen. While gameplay details remain limited, the closed beta is expected to provide more insights into how the systems and progression will be handled in this updated version. Further announcements are anticipated as the beta sign-up period begins.
