After a period without major updates, Lost Ark has released the Call of the Wildsoul update, introducing the new Wildsoul class. This Specialist class utilizes scrolls to harness the power of phantom beasts, allowing players to summon creatures or transform into one. The class features two forms: Bear Form, which focuses on melee combat, and Fox Form, which enhances agility and ranged attacks. Alongside this addition, the update includes adjustments to the Ark Passive system, refining progression mechanics and modifying the evolution, enlightenment, and engraving systems. To improve accessibility, some older content, such as Platinum Field and Challenge Guardian Raids, has been removed.
Several in-game events accompany the update, providing incentives for both new and returning players. The Mokoko Bootcamp event encourages experienced players to assist newcomers in raids, offering rewards in return. The Mokoko Challenge Express Event allows players to accelerate the progress of a designated character, helping them reach Item Level 1660. Additional events include the Event Guardian Raid, which provides daily challenges with rewards, and the South Kurzan Event Powerpass, enabling a character to be leveled instantly to 1585. The Advanced Honing Support Event also grants additional rewards for characters above Item Level 1620, further streamlining character growth.
New cosmetic options have been added, including launch skins for the Wildsoul class, the Pirate King outfit, and winter-themed stronghold structures. Adjustments to monster health values, enhancements to Hyper Awakening skills, and updates to the memory chamber aim to refine overall gameplay. The update seeks to provide new content while improving accessibility and progression for a wider range of players.
