Pearl Abyss has announced plans to release native versions of Black Desert for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. The upgrade aims to enhance the game's visual quality and performance for players on these platforms. Current owners of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will receive the next-generation version as a free upgrade. The PlayStation 5 version is nearing final approval, while development of the Xbox Series X|S version continues. Both versions are expected to be released in the first half of the year.
Following the launch of the updated versions, the Land of the Morning Light expansion is set to become available for console players. This expansion will add new content to the game, providing players with additional areas to explore and gameplay features to experience. The expansion has already been introduced on other platforms, and its arrival on consoles will align with the updated versions.
In addition, a December update has been implemented for the current console versions of Black Desert. This update introduces Kharazad Accessories, which can be upgraded using Deboreka accessories, and includes Essence of Dawn, a new material obtainable in the Land of the Morning Light monster zones. The update also adds a system for exchanging parts of the Deboreka accessory set, allowing players to swap items like the Deboreka Necklace for the Deboreka Ring. These changes aim to provide players with more options for customization and progression.
