Legend of Ares, a PvP-centric MMORPG from the mid-2000s, is set to relaunch next month. Originally released in 2006, the game struggled to gain traction globally and was shut down by 2009, except for its Korean version. A brief revival attempt in 2017 under RedFox Games did not achieve significant success.
The rights to Legend of Ares have been acquired by a new company called Reforgix, which plans to relaunch the game on August 3rd. Reforgix has announced a partnership with the original developer, MGame, to handle both publishing and development tasks. This collaboration aims to address the game's past issues and improve its overall quality.
Reforgix recently conducted an alpha test, describing it as successful. The game is scheduled to enter beta from July 11th through 25th, with the full launch following in August. The new version of Legend of Ares will feature enhanced anti-cheat measures, improved quests, and updated gameplay systems.
