April 27, 2023 MMO News: Updates, Releases, and New MMOs

Welcome to the world of massively multiplayer online role-playing games, where every month brings new updates, releases, and exciting gameplay reveals. In this post, we'll cover some of the most notable news and announcements from the MMO space in April 2023.

First up, the classic anime MMORPG Eden Eternal is set to be re-released on May 4, 2023. Developed by X-Legend Entertainment, the game offers a unique feature where players can change classes at any time, giving them access to all available classes. Mad World MMO, a browser-based MMORPG, is also now available to play without any downloads.

Amazon Games announced the shutdown of their Lost Ark and New World forums, with plans to improve their presence on their Lost Ark subreddit and Discord server. However, the game itself is set to receive major updates, with the introduction of the Slayer class, a new continent called Elgacia, and the Kayangel Abyssal Dune in May and June.

Tarisland, an upcoming MMO, is promising a non-pay-to-win and fair free-to-play experience. The game features classic MMORPG elements and offers classes such as ranger, paladin, warrior, mage, priest, bard, and barbarian. Meanwhile, Gameforge launched its free-to-play Aion Classic server in Europe, featuring classic quest content, dungeons, and battles.

Finally, PSO2 New Genesis introduced its ver.2 update, which includes a housing system and creative space where players can build and customize their own homes. The update also includes new enemies, portable holograms, and a cel shading option for a more anime-like appearance.

With so much going on in the MMO space, it's an exciting time for gamers. Which update or release are you most looking forward to?
