Ragnarok Arena Gameplay, Features, Classes and Monetization

Ragnarok Arena is a mobile strategy rpg based on the famous ragnarok online IP. Its developed by gravity, the Korean company that owns ragnarok online. There is no exact release date as of the making of the video, Its announced that it will be out by the end of the year Q4 2022 but its already released in Korea, that's why what your seeing is in Korean. I managed to wing the whole gameplay since the UI and gameplay is very easy to comprehend.


FEATURES 
Character Creation is super simple, you pick a gender, name you character that's it.
Gameplay is viewed top down and you get to set up the positions of you character, putting the tanks at the front and range dps and support at the back, its your typical Auto battler, strategy rpg that's kind of similar to auto chess but more basic without in game customization and management. I combat you pretty much watch everything play out except for the time when your super attack is full and you get to active your characters special attack.

CLASSES
We have classes in this game that has their own unique stats, capabilities and special attacks
lets take a look at swordsman, as you see, its the tanker melee dps that can use bash, fatal blow and its super attack is dragon breath.
Mage, its the magic dps that can use cold bolt, fireball, thunderstorm and its special attack is crimson rock.
Acolyte, its the healer support that can use cure, slow enemies, accelerate teamates and the special is a heal.

Merchant, based on the gameplay is a melee dps that can use a variety of area attacks and can buff itself, the special attack is cart tornado.

Thief, another melee dps somewhat similar to the merchant and swordsman and the skills are double attack, sand attack, dodge and the super is cross impact.
Archer, range dps, high attack stat but low defense, he can use double strafe, arrow repel to push enemies and the super is arrow storm.

Those are the classes and keep in mind that all of those classes can advance to another class or job which will significantly improve their capabilities

The Overall Gameplay
We start out with a UI where we select a campaign where we need to defeat a batch of enemies each level and at the end there gonna be a boss fight and based on my experience, its not that easy, you will still need to customize level up you character and get new monsters or companion.

And this where we talk about the monetization, even though its in Korean, its very easy to determine with this simple shop that you can buy the in game currency in the cash shop using the cash shop currency, I'm pretty sure you wanted to know that but the main monetization is the gacha for the monsters, they are giving away a handful of dead branches which is the item needed to summon for free.
